Follow-up Comment #2, bug #15288 (project grub):

although copying the file manually do not changed anything.
furthermore, the #12018 is about another error. I get:

-------------
GNU GRUB version 0.97 (640K lower / 3072K upper memory)

[ Minimal BASH-like line editing is supported. For the first word, TAB
lists possible command completions. Anywhere else TAB lists the possible
   completions of a device/filename. ]

grub> savedefault 1

Error 27: Unrecognized command
-------------

while in #12018 they're talking about some file-errors

what I want to do:
specifying a boot-entry for booting only the next time. For example: Just
boot windows on next boot. After this, fall back to the default linux entry.
AFAIK, lilo can do this with 'lilo -R <boot-entry>'. How does this work with
grub since the savedefault command doesn't work?
