I am in the same shape so I have returned to Fedora 10 What is the super grub? Please send a link! The release of F11 was with much carelessness! Did you try the rescue/chroot /mnt/sysimage/grub-install/find/root/setup ? This may do it! I had F11 sitting on my sdb and I could NOT reach it! The upgrade/update to F11 from F10 made a lot of strange drive name changes. https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=494344 Be sure to remove any flash drives or other disk drives before continuing! > From: address@hidden > To: address@hidden > Date: Mon, 24 Aug 2009 13:20:11 -0400 > CC: address@hidden > Subject: Grub in Ubuntu 7.04 > > Hello, > I have installed Ubuntu 7.04 on my IBM ThinkPad T41p from the live CD and when it tells me to restart the computer > without the live CD it says: > GRUB Loading stage1.5 > > > GRUB loading, please wait... > Error 17 > I installed Ubuntu so that it could dual-boot with Microsoft Windows XP, but now GRUB isn't working and I'm without a > computer. > I found this e-mail from the help section on the Ubuntu live CD. > I have tried to follow instructions from online forums but none have succeded.
