Follow-up Comment #3, bug #29977 (project grub):
I specifically took effort to explain, that nothing has been changed in grub
config manually. Not sure how you are managing to miss that.
Let me make it perfectly clear:
1. I have no doubt that grub development was not in vain and that it is
possible to boot Windows.
2. The problem is that several distros I have mentioned above do not
configure grub legacy or grub2 properly.
3. If that is the case, grub development team has to make itself available to
work with the linux packagers to create a working solution.
And lastly, I am sick and tired of smart asses whose only contribution is to
state that 'I am doing something wrong' w/o being specific as to what exactly
that 'something' is.
As a matter of fact, I am not doing anything about grub at all - everything
is done by the distribution installer. If the developers of the installer
can't get grub install right, what can I, mere mortal do?
