Follow-up Comment #4, bug #38403 (project grub):
I have an Inspiron 14z, A10 BIOS Rev. Using Arch Linux, Grub version 2.00-1
from stable Arch repos.
I've managed to surpass the hang using GRUB_GFXMODE=text. I don't know if this
is related to the hybrid graphics configuration of this model, or what else is
causing the hang.
But even skipping the initial hang, grub stays reporting the "Couldn't
terminate EFI services" error. I have to press enter again over the Arch grub
entry, and then i'm dropped to a recovery TTY (Grub doesn't seem to pass the
kernel arguments correctly after the EFI services error). Then I mount my root
over /new_root, and start the init process manually.
I'm going to try with the BZR one and check if that fixes at least one of the
problems.
