URL: <http://savannah.gnu.org/bugs/?39556> Summary: Video modules are not unloaded properly Project: GNU GRUB Submitted by: qwertial Submitted on: Tue 23 Jul 2013 04:34:20 PM GMT Category: None Severity: Major Priority: 5 - Normal Item Group: Software Error Status: None Privacy: Public Assigned to: None Originator Name: Originator Email: Open/Closed: Open Discussion Lock: Any Release: Release: Bazaar - trunk Reproducibility: None Planned Release: None _______________________________________________________ Details: Steps: 0. insmod several video modules. 1. Run videoinfo. 2. rmmod a random video module. 3. Run videoinfo again. Observe that the video adapter did not disappear from the list. Doing this a few times may even trick GRUB into running an infinite loop. In include/grub/video.h, routine grub_video_register should initialise adapter->prev to p. Otherwise grub_list_remove is unable to remove all references to the grub_video_adapter_t structure. _______________________________________________________ Reply to this item at: <http://savannah.gnu.org/bugs/?39556> _______________________________________________ Message sent via/by Savannah http://savannah.gnu.org/
