URL: <http://savannah.gnu.org/bugs/?44239> Summary: Behavior of syslinux_parse differs from SYSLINUX for initrd= option Project: GNU GRUB Submitted by: lunar Submitted on: Fri 13 Feb 2015 04:36:45 PM GMT Category: Configuration Severity: Major Priority: 5 - Normal Item Group: Software Error Status: None Privacy: Public Assigned to: None Originator Name: Originator Email: Open/Closed: Open Discussion Lock: Any Release: Release: Git master Reproducibility: Every Time Planned Release: None _______________________________________________________ Details: SYSLINUX parses but does not remove "initrd=..." option from the kernel command line. As some distributions (e.g. Tails) rely on its presence, it would be better to have the same behavior. The attached patch has been tested and makes Tails behave as it does with SYSLINUX. _______________________________________________________ File Attachments: ------------------------------------------------------- Date: Fri 13 Feb 2015 04:36:45 PM GMT Name: 0001-syslinux_parse-keep-initrd-in-kernel-the-command-lin.patch Size: 2kB By: lunar Patch to keep initrd= in kernel the command line <http://savannah.gnu.org/bugs/download.php?file_id=33061> _______________________________________________________ Reply to this item at: <http://savannah.gnu.org/bugs/?44239> _______________________________________________ Message sent via/by Savannah http://savannah.gnu.org/
