Details:

After an Ubuntu upgrade from 18.04 to 18.10 the installation of
grub-efi-amd64-signed fails due to

on a Lenovo IdeaPad-Z500-Touch with secure boot disabled (enabling isn't
possible because the Ubuntu images are refused).
