Hello

As you are the Grub experts, I would really appreciate your help instead of forum where people don't know as much as you about Grub. I executed the following 2 commands from grub-repair. I had inserted the USB containing bootable Ubuntu 18.04LTS before powering on but did not see any 'usb' device in the listing.

command: ls
returned: (hd0) (hd0,msdhdos5) (hd0, msdos1) (hd1) (hd1,msdos1)

command: set
returned: cmdpath=(hd0)
prefix=(hd0,msdos1)/boot/grub
root=hd0,msdos1

Is there any way to change msdos to efi ? Because the filesystem is not msdos. It was created through ubuntu and is efi filesystem. Reformatting the disk is absolutely no problem. There is nothing on it (except the operating system).

Thank you
Yours truly
aneesa
