Hello Carl,

I am not using any distribution of GNU, rather I have built all packages
myself. And I am not that new to it, as I am using it since 1999,
programming in Perl, mostly business communication, databases, and
such. Did not program in C.

And I could without problems compile gettext on my system, just as I
have compiled and built all other 400+ packages. I refer to the gettext
version outside of the GSRC system.

My bug in relation to gettext is not related to my system, gettext works
just fine on my side, as the part of the system.

I have tried what you said, and obviously I would need to have the SE
Linux on my system, which I don't have. It is configured in the kernel
though. I would have to see where to download the libraries.

Jean
