You can set your XDG_CACHE_HOME to change this.  See

This works. Put my .profile file
  export XDG_CACHE_HOME=$HOME/Library/Caches/XDG
as to not clutter Caches/.

If Guile wants to set its own on Mac OS X, then it might be
