Silly me: we cannot have $HOME/.guix-profile/share/icons and
$HOME/.icons in ‘XCURSOR_PATH’ if we do it via

So I guess we have to go with /etc/profile as in your patch.

Right.  In the patch, I think you can add the extra ‘search-paths’ entry,
comment it out, and add a TODO comment.
