Details:
I have kubuntu Edgy with gv 3.6.1 and gs-esp 8.15.2 and am
seeing the following error (note this error did not occur in
Dapper nor I have noticed it when using other linux systems over
the years). I also get the same error with gs-gpl 8.50
When I launch gv from a terminal window and open a pdf file
there is an invalidfileaccess error when I try to rescale the
pdf file. The error occurs if the pdf file is not in a subdirectory
of the directory from which gv was opened. I do not seem to have
this error with postscript files.
Eg if I am in directory /home/hat/bat and I want to access
a pdf file in /home/hat/papers/ then when I try to rescale I
get an error. But I don't get the error if I am in /home/hat
and the file is in /home/hat/bat/
Thanks
Manmatha
