NFS runs, but it is not perfect. I use it to move files back and
forth between GNU/Hurd and GNU/Linux, but I cannot reliably use it to
build packages. (I have had mmap failures, and crashes). I don't,
however, have reliable test cases.
I tend to use the Linux Knfsd.
I don't know how hard it is to fix, but I suspect that if you're
willing to help even produce reliable failure scenario's that they'd
be welcome. I don't really have time to do that right now.
