Yeah, that's a bit annoying if you are searching for it the first time. 
Probably best way to find it is with a debugger and a breakpoint.  It's
defined by this line in libc/hurd/hurdports.c:

GETSET (file_t, crdir, CRDIR)

(As are several other functions of this type).
