Hi Rashim,

I am vishwas. Even I am very new to GNU-HURD. I was
able to install HURD on my Pentium Pro 400 using
Debian image downloaded from ftp://ftp.gnu.org/iso/.

You can find more info about installing HURD at
http://www.gnu.org/software/hurd/install.html
As per the documentation cross-compiling MACH is
not recommended for a newbie. Try donloading 1st
CD image - burn it and install.

I am looking for upgrading my HURD ( without
downloading 600~Mb, which is not possible in
INDIA) to
`stdio-based GLibC Application Binary Interface (ABI)
to the libio-based GLibC ABI` and `support for large
disks (>= 10GB) `. Is it possible to replace the
existing libraray at runtime or I have to reinstall
with new binary image ?

I am also looking for an area in HURD to contribute,
can the HURD gurus help me in this aspect?

Thanks & Regards
vishwas.
