Hi Roland,
the oskit bell you wrote in oskit/pc/osenv_bell.c is hazardous to the
system's health: If you do something like "cat /bin/bash", which generates a
lot of ^G, more than 20 within 1/8 of a second, the timer code
(kern/mach_clock.c:timeout()) will panic.
It seems to me a private timer must be used here.
