I don't really rule KDE ;) 

As far as I remember there was someone in a KOffice discussion group who 
offered 2000$ if someone would get KOffice ready for Windows last christmaas, 
saying "there's more where that comes from". 

I don't know much more about how KDE people fare with bounties - where it 
comes to hard codecrunching in KDE, I am mostly a simple user - there isn't 
that much I can do in C++, and I spend most of my free time thinking about 
roleplaying games, Hurd and Gnutella - and making music and at times wasting 
time :) 

But I like KDE and try to contribute in the ways I can.

I think he should sit down with some Attac people on that and exchange 
experience. 

There are people who have a lifetime of experience in caimpaigning to the 
general public - and there are many shared ideas, for example the free seed 
movement. 

But I can't really point with my finger here - I'm notoriously short of time 
myself, so my connections to Attac aren't that strong anymore - and RMS 
definitely has more experience than I have :)

Does that mean, that the FSF would sponsor getting Hurd developers to 
conferences, too?
