Did you apply all patches that are indicated on that page?
I'm currently working on getting support for more recent releases under
way again, but that is not yet finished.

Obviously you're -- in contrast to the documentation -- building C++
support. (One should expect that to work, yes, but sadly it doesn't: see
below.)
That error message shouldn't appear nevertheless. Can you tell me
exactly which sources you used and how you configured, etc.?
