I didn’t expect that… and sorry for taking so long, my timescale is often 
quite long, so it took me some time to get from the decision to test it to 
actually doing the test.

I just tried it again and realized my error: I had assumed that the script had 
partitioned the disk, so my disk simply wasn’t partitioned :) 

Now the install is running. 

Besides: Do you really need the tracker? Savannah has a file release system you 
could use instead.

What I’d love to see is a live CD with all working translators installed in 
/hurd/. 

That would enable more people to try out the cool features of the Hurd very 
easily. 

…maybe the long-not-tested translators should go into /hurd/unstable/, though. 

nsmux set on / by default would be nice, too. Not necessarily as “hey, use 
this to install the Hurd on your computer” LiveCD, but as “see all these cool 
features! Don’t you want them on a qemu image to tweak them yourself?” :)

What I also like is that the LiveCD works with only -cdrom *.iso (though only 
for testing, not for installing). 

That makes it easier to test — and the created images can then be used without 
any arguments at all, which is IMHO necessary to get as many people as 
possible to test the images. 

If testing is just `qemu hurd.img`, everyone can do so in a few minutes free 
time. It needn’t be the best possible way to use it (not the way you’d use it 
at home, like some -tun options and sich), but rather a way which works and is 
really easy to explain.

That gives an inkling of what I’d like to see as intro, but additionally with 
subhurds and more translators. 

Do you think something like this could be integrated in the LiveCDs? Maybe as 
user „guide“?
