No.  Such blanket assignments have been done for a few companies, but not
for individuals, as far as I know.  (I don't know why.)

I won't be able to attend (2013-08-11 to 18).  Don't know about the
others.  Somewhat regularely, a few of us Hurd folks have been meeting at
FOSDEM, each February, Belgium, Brussels,

Well, that's certainly more powerful than anything I have available at
home.  :-)

Yes, please.  Rather than remember what you've done in the past ;-), I
want you to have an actually working development environment for GCC on
GNU/Hurd natively.

Not to discourage you two, but it'll take quite some effort (both design
and implementation) until that can be done -- probably not all in one
summer.  But, yes, we can get there.  :-)
