Or the other way round: to help us so that we know that you're on track
with the project, productively working on your own, you'll keep us
updated by means of the weekly status report, and so on, as discussed.
It's not neccessarily us who have to ask you; rather it's you who has to
tell us by your own accord.

It's fine -- seems that I just had to poke a bit harder to get the

It seems you have read a lot.  Surely lots and lots of interesting things
-- but probably more than you'd need right now.  Your next, very
practical, task shall be: reproduce the GCC Go testsuite results that I
just posted in the other thread.  Configure GCC with
»--enable-languages=go --disable-bootstrap«, build it, and then test the
GCC Go bits: »make -k -C gcc check-go RUNTESTFLAGS=-v«, then look at
gcc/testsuite/go/go.sum and gcc/testsuite/go/go.log.  For comparison, do
the same on 32-bit x86 and 64-bit x86_64 GNU/Linux and compare the go.sum
files.


I'll be away until mid of next week, but the Hurd folks will be able to
help you with any Hurd-specific issues, and the Ian or generally the GCC
folks with any GCC issues.
