Thanks a lot, and sorry for the late reply.

I was trying to create a Debian package for indent-2.2.9 and I'm
worried about this: If I have to patch the "configure" script manually,
what about people who then takes the Debian source package, modify
configure.ac and then try to regenerate configure again. Will the fix
in the configure script disappear?


Should not either Makefile.am read

ACLOCAL_AMFLAGS = -I m4 -I aclocal

or UTIMBUF.m4 really be in the `m4' directory, not in the `aclocal' directory?
