   Ahh, pitty, I wanted to implement it.  Thanks for fixing the
   interval thing, but why can't you use ping_cvt_number from
   ping_common.c?

I reverted parts of your change, ping.c now uses ping_cvt_number from
ping_common.c, and uses size_t instead of "unsigned long long" (or was
it u. l. int?).  Maybe gcc will barf somewhere since I can't test the
change due to a broken automake on my system, but it should be ok.
