GNU ping is able to send three types of requests: ICMP_ECHO,
ICMP_ADDRESS and ICMP_TIMESTAMP.  The support for the fourth one,
ICMP_ROUTERDISCOVERY, is built into the library, but not implemented at
the utility level yet.

I don't quite get what it has to do with multithreading, but the
same information is displayed by any flavor of ping utility, as far as
I know.
