Unfortunately the code de-duplication part turned out to be
difficult... replacing InetUtils' libls/fts.? with fts.? from gnulib
builds fine but makes ftpd's stop producing any output when listing
directories. Lucky I added the self-test first so we noticed this
problem. I don't have time to debug libls further, so I'll leave that
part.
