From some online research I may have been wrong which also indicates 
the possibility that Lily's implementation may be wrong. 

I saw a number of indications that the triangle should only indicate 
major and that a 7 should be added to the triangle to indicate major 
seventh.

I will post something on the user list to get a better consensus.
