If a file is opened on Windows by some application (e.g. a viewer), it can
not be
deleted. This is a limitation of Windows. On UNIX a file that is open can
be deleted.
The application that holds the handle to the open file can still access the
file. The
file is only really deleted when the application closes the last handle to
the file.
