I think the idea is that if a script adds/changes something in HTML, it  
should add
something like
  <-- generated from scripts/build/www-post.py -->
Then if we need to change/fix the added/changed line, we know where to look  
in the
build system.


(that's the impression that I get from the original email, at least.)
