I can imagine a case in which you zoom to enlarge both barlines and
don't see any differences (or maybe two pixels among hundredths), and
still one of the barlines could be viewed/printed ultra-thick at 100%
zoom. If the viewer/renderer always wrongly adds one or two absolute
pixels, this could be too much for small sizes.
