LilyPond has no graphical user interface (as other well-known
scorewriters have), which can be surprising.
It uses text files to produce PDFs, thanks to a specific syntax.
You can learn this in the introductive crash course :
and more in the Learning Manual :

To check LilyPond is installed on your computer, open your terminal
and type
  lilypond  and then <ENTER>

If LilyPond is installed, then you should see something like
"LilyPond 2.12.3..."
If it is not "cannot find a command named lilypond".

I would also suggest you to use a dedicated LilyPond text editor, such
as jEdit + the feature-rich plugin LilyPondTool :

or the very nice Frescobaldi (built on top of the KDE4 libraries) :

which both permit to see the text file and result in the same time,
thanks to a built-in PDF viewer (and other "making things easier"

As you seem to speak German, you may be interested by the "Deutsches
Lilypond Forum", where you can ask your questions in German (and obtain
answers in German as well).
