http://code.google.com/p/lilypond/issues/detail?id=1752 I agree with James -- why the change?I'd like to see an alternate method of working here. Janek, could you work on a framework to easily switch between different scores? i.e. maybe something like
\layout { \context Staff \set Font = #'Cheddar }? The idea is that we'd keep Feta/Parmesan the same, but you could define your own font (maybe Oscypek ?) and use whatever decisions you wanted to make.
I think I remember seeing something on -user or -devel about a "modern composition font", which would also benefit from this approach.
Take a look at the gonville stuff; most (or all?) of this functionalist is (or might?) already be there. Maybe all you need to do is spend 5 hours writing programmer docs on how to use the gonville functionality?
