It probably is. FWIW, I'm also experiencing random crashes with current master (reproducible, but not tracked to a single input file. I.e. if I compile lilypond input/regression/a*.ly, it crashes reliably on the same file file; but lilypond running on that file alone does not crash).

Those crashes mostly appear inside guile's protected areas, and I have no idea what causes them. For now, even a "make check" doesn't work.

This happens on both machines I upgraded to Ubuntu oneiric 32-bit, but does not happen in a newly installed oneiric 64-bit system.
