I elected not to push this patch because of the concern about reviewing the  
log.

I've now revised it so that when the push patch button is pressed, it  
displays the git log of the proposed push, and gives you the option to  
continue or cancel.  And if there are no changes, it tells you so.

I think this is ready for pushing at this time, but it should have a review  
first.
