I went through this prior to posting :)
Then again, there aren't really examples with simultaneous notes in a
single voice (soprano 1 and soprano 2) that should be aligned with other
voices. The single-voice page avoids seconds and unisons altogether, so
I don't have a good point of reference atm.

Here is a second example showing why I think aesthetics are off a little
bit and which shows where I'm coming from

I want both unisons to be placed at an equal distance to the rest. The
reason for me starting to ramble about the stems came from some tests I
did before to figure out what's going on.
