I'm not top posting.I'm having a strange problem with the latest LilyPond in Frescobaldi crashing with a nonsense return code (-1073741819). Unfortunately it only happens on a rather large file and I haven't been able to produce a tiny example. Is there any way I can get more data on this? _______________________________________________ bug-lilypond mailing list address@hidden https://lists.gnu.org/mailman/listinfo/bug-lilypond
Well I would first try and rule out if the problem is with LilyPond or Frescobaldi.
I would, were I using Windows, open a cmd window and (assuming you are familiar with the command line) cd to the location of your LilyPond file and run the command
lilypond --pdf myfile.lyand see if LilyPond, (without the Frescobaldi UI) throws an error while it is engraving.
It might be that Frescobaldi also displays this information as it calls the LilyPond.exe to run, but I don't use Frescobaldi so I am not sure where this would show up in the UI, and the online help for Frescobaldi doesn't show me or tell me where the log file for LilyPond is kept (if there is one at all).
I would also ask on the LilyPond user lists if you get no other joy from here.
Go from there. If the file compiles just using the CLI then the problem likely to be with Frescobaldi and you can contact WIlbert directly (the author of Frescobaldi), although he does lurk on these lists occasionally.
If you do get an error when compiling with the CLI it might be more meaningful to us.
