Lilypond-book --pdf tempo problem

my name is David, I'm from Germany.
Since 2013 I'm using lilypond-book for creating a book for drummers.
Since this project was growing and growing (~450 pages now) there are some
bugs that I am not able to solve on my own.

Here is an minimal working code example:

\version "2.16.2"
\drums {\tempo 4 = 120~140 bd4 sn4}

Compile with:

lilypond-book --pdf test.lytex
pdflatex test.tex

what I get is this (artefact in tempo hyph):

If I don't use the --pdf option that doesn't happen, but there are many
reasons for me to use the --pdf option, so I'm wondering if there is a way
to fix this bug?

Futhermore there is a second buggy thing happening:
The larger the lytex document gets, the more often lilypond-book crashes at
a "full run" (after deleting all pdf files) so there's no chance to get the
whole document built at once(!)
After one run lilypond says:

command failed: lilypond --formats=ps -dbackend=eps -I "." -I ".." -I
"C:\Users\David-NB\sciebo\NoMoreLicks\INHALT" --formats=eps --pdf
-dinclude-eps-fonts -dgs-load-fonts -dread-file-list -dno-strip-output-dir
Child returned 3

I'm wondering, my other computer gives an other error, there's always
something like "cannot open fontfile 'emmentaler-X'".

I hope some of you can help me solving this problem.
