Thanks . it was confusing to me also! 
I purged debian mailutils

$ sudo apt-get purge  mailutils
$ movemail --version
movemail: error while loading shared libraries: libmuaux.so.8: cannot
open shared object file: No such file or directory

...after a while
$ movemail --version
movemail (GNU Mailutils) 3.11.1

$ movemail --debug-level='mailbox.prot'  -vvv
'imaps://foo%40posteo.net:password@posteo.de'   "~/mailFromMovemail/"
movemail: could not create mailbox
`imaps://foo%40posteo.net:password@posteo.de': Requested item not found
