Your makefile has been saved with DOS/Windows line endings (CRLF).  The
version of GNU make you're using (which is pretty old, BTW) doesn't
understand DOS/Windows line endings, it only understands UNIX line
endings (LF).

You will need to either upgrade to a newer version of GNU make (the
current latest version is 3.79.1) or change your Makefile back to use
only UNIX line endings (there are various small programs that can assist
you with this, probably, but I'm not familiar with them on Windows
platforms) and be careful in the future to only use editors which use
UNIX line endings.
