I've built from CVS and have the following problem:
$ cat Makefile
rule:
echo 'foo\
' >/tmp/b
$ gmake
echo 'foo\
' >/tmp/b
$ cat /tmp/b
foo\
Shouldn't /tmp/b contain "foo"?
