Follow-up Comment #2, bug #36881 (project make):
Thank you for the information.
I must say that I'm rather concerned that fundamental syntax has changed with
no mention in the manual. Many documentation efforts are comprehensive,
indicating after what version specific features were added. Few projects
would ever risk a change to the syntax for something as minor as a point
release. I certainly hope that whoever felt so strongly about that equal sign
made absolutely certain that 3.82 is also backwards compatible with 3.81.
