Follow-up Comment #2, bug #40159 (project make):
In case of any confusion, please make a small typo correction in my bug
report. There is a 'y' that should be a 'i'.
The correct text is this:
More evidence that bad things are happening internally can be seen by
trivially changing the variable name from 'ooo' to 'oo', ie two lines are
changed as follows:

$(eval $(call lazy,oo,i)) <------
$(warning $(oo))
endef
