I notice all the time that martial arts students tend to have lead feet.
Sit down from where you are and throw your feet over your head until they touch the floor behind you.
Plus, how much of my training time do I want to devote to doing just one thing? Sit down from where you are and throw your feet over your head until they touch the floor behind you. How about listening to your spouse or children?
Because the basics are everything.
Stomp on his toes if you clinch. Many people think form is useless.
Now swing them back forward and, without using your hands, stand to a squat, knees bent so your thighs are parallel to the floor. Circle, circle, circle.
And that we need only avail ourselves of it, and enjoy it, and share it, and pass it around, and there will be plenty more after that.
What follows is trickier, to say the least. Then the heavy armor was ditched with the development of firearms.
Rather, you want to rush him, then drive him back. The book is a great buy.
They got what was coming to them . How about on the job? If they wanted something else, you need to be moving away fast. I can recall specific situations in which I self-motivated, persisted, and hoped but, dang it, failed to regulate my mood, or control my impulse!
The Romans, with their love of blood sport, developed a spiked glove called the cestus, which gave one a little edge when fighting the lions, but not nearly enough. Be focused, yes, in an animalistic, cave man sort of way, but not calm.
In martial arts neither the practice nor the practitioner are ever perfect .
What follows is trickier, to say the least. Be focused, yes, in an animalistic, cave man sort of way, but not calm.
Bring your feet back to starting position and stand up.
