I did try to maintain a friendship with my ex and it went fairly ok for the past year although with moments of up and down.
Most people see right through me cause I wear my heart on my sleeve most of the time. won't be able to answer you this time because i've never been in a girl-boy relationship in which the both of us are more than just friends.
