[Bug-moe] problems with Moe

Unfortunately I am unable to use the Moe text editor because of the following problems:

 

1. NOT ALL THE FUNCTION KEYS WORK on my Aser Aspire E1-571G machine.

In my experience function keys are unreliable as command tools.

I suggest providing key alises C-? or M-? for F2, F3, F4 etc up to F12 to get over this problem.

(F1 already has key aliases). Not being able to use F2 means I cannot even save a file.

F7,F8,F9,F10,F11 all work. F12 just brings up the menu of my operating system, so there is

some interference here beteen Moe and the OS.

Pressing F1,F2,F3,F4 just prints out respectively 11~, 12~, 13~, 14~ on the screen.

Pressing F5 and F6 results in nothing, but then I cannot create multiple windows.

 

2. MOE PRINTS ACCENTED CHARACTERS AS CHARACTER+SPACE

Presumably this is a problem with all non ISO-8859-1 characters.

For example, if I type the French word "éthéré" (ethereal) Moe displays it as "é thé ré ".

 

I am looking forward to the day when I too can use this essential, no-frills command-line text editor

for my daily tasks, now that even Nano is becoming even more sophisticated.

I take the opportunity to warmly thank Mr. Diaz for his considerable efforts spent on developing Moe.
