CPL available via terminfo?

I'm aware that ANSI X3.64/ECMA-48's CNL is corresponds to the
*nel* capability in terminfo (which is often something other
than the ANSI sequence). CPL seems to have no correspondence
defined in the terminal type descriptions source,
despite vttest being capable of discovering support in
terminals (as indicated in numerous comments).

Is there any reason that no CPL correspondence has been defined
in terminfo? If not, would a patch be welcome that defined it in
terms of the \E[PnF sequence, and used these comments to seed
the various database entries? Where applicable, this would seem
a nice bandwidth saver over cup.
