Hehe. This file doesn't exist, as far as DOS is concerned.

OK. Basically: Parted's idea of the file system is different to
DOS's. Therefore Parted's idea of the FS is Wrong. So, I would
like to fix Parted. Once it's fixed, everything will work.
I did some playing around (like I said I would ;-), and I found,
my copy of Win98 terminates directories on NULL entries, for both
FAT16 and FAT32.

No. Pixel is a hacker at Mandrake, who told me I should change
Parted's behaviour. (The original behaviour wouldn't give these
problems)
Before I assume he was wrong, I'd like to find out where he got
his info from... maybe some versions of DOS do things differently
(in which case, we should detect which version of DOS created
the file system, etc.)
I'll let you know when we've fixed the problem.
