Hi,
I've done some hacking to make filesystems build as modules. It's not
totally complete yet (I still need to throw some exceptions when things
go wrong), but it works. There are some things that may need changing -
eg. modules are simply found by doing a readdir() of the module
directory, and checking for a .so extension, which there must surely be
better ways of doing ... (suggestions?)
I've tried to do this in a way that would make it relatively easy to
hack to build other things as modules, ie. disklabels (not that they
really need it - it's not as if they take up much space). There will
still need to be a few changes to get this working in an ideal way,
however.
A patch against 1.6.0-pre2 can be found at:
http://people.debian.org/~timshel/parted/parted-1.6.0-pre2-fs-modules-2002021101.diff
There's no changelog entry at the moment, I'll add one when I add the
exception stuff ...
Cheers,
Timshel
