It's a "bug". Parted flushes the cache lots, because linux has lots
of cache-coherency problems.
Unfortunately, Parted flushes the cache of all partitions... even
irrelevant and mounted ones. Linux thinks that's stupid (which it is),
and writes that message. Franck sent me a patch, IIRC, but I haven't
had time to look/apply yet :/
Red Hat has a patch for the kernel to quieten it.
