contradiction about copying ext2 file systems

I got confused by the following in the manual for Parted 1.6.5-pre1
(that seems to be a contradiction to my naive eyes):

The table in Section 6.1 states that the "copy" operation is supported
for ext2 (ext3 and other file systems), with a minor restriction mentioned in
note (2).
But why is there then Section 6.2 ("GNU Parted and the Second Extended 
Filesystem")?
Which section is right?
