Hi Andrew,

Well I could have waited for your message the other day, but I got impatient 
and decided to just try the resize despite the warning, and it worked fine - 
then I got your message.

I will test this at some point, though now that I have the linux partitions 
installed, I suppose it may behave differently - I'll get back to you. My 
highest priority right now, though, is getting linux to recognize my network 
card...

As for testing it, is there a way to hide the linux partitions from linux, so 
that parted will see a windoze-only partition as it did before?
